Milwaukee police: Milwaukee woman shot near 23rd and Hopkins


On Media Outlook News: MILWAUKEE — A 30-year-old Milwaukee woman was shot on the night of Friday July 14th.
According to the police, the shooting happened around 11:40 p.m. in the neighborhood of 23rd and Hopkins.
Police say the victim sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound  and is being treated at a hospital.
The shooting remains under investigation and Milwaukee Police are seeking suspects.

California fire: Resident says neighborhood looks like 'war zone'

On Media Outlook News:  Jeannette Frescas was not concerned about the Thomas Fire until the massive blaze inched toward her neighborhood in Southern California. "At midnight, I woke up with flashlight in my face," Frescas told CNN affiliate KEYT. "I looked out my window and there were flames that were about a 100 feet all around us." Like many residents, Frescas was caught off guard by the fire that has roared through Southern California for 13 days. She's one of tens of thousands of residents who piled into cars and fled as ferocious winds drove the third-largest blaze in the state toward Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
