MOTHER PEPPER-SPRAYS SONS’ BULLIES DURING FIGHT

A fed up mother is facing charges for disorderly conduct after pepper-spraying students at the New Schools of Carver in Atlanta.

Shawanda Favors says she was defending her sons after a bunch of bullies attacked them on the school’s front lawn. Several high school students recorded the incident and posted it on social media. Favors, who is tired of her son getting picked on, says she did what her gut instinct told her to do.

“I was just scared for my kids’ life. I didn’t think they were safe anymore,” Favors admitted.

Favors said when she arrived at the school to drop her sons off, the same group of students who fought her boys last week began attacking again. She also says that she would’ve not had to intervene if officers were nearby to diffuse the situation.

“Officers were there, they were just on the other side. It took them too long to get over there,” she said.

However, the school district states that officers responded immediately, which kept other instigators from becoming involved.

Four students were treated and one student was taken to the hospital for medical assistance.

Her 17-year-old son was happy and appreciative that his mother stepped in to help when she did.

“Cause she broke the fight up. If she wasn’t out there, that fight could have been going on four hours,” he said.
