Police: Man shot, killed in broad daylight on Beechwood near 80th in Milwaukee


MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Wednesday afternoon, January 25th.
It happened shortly before 2:00 p.m. on W. Beechwood near N. 80th Street.
Police said a man was shot during circumstances that are still under investigation.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
MPD’s investigation is ongoing.

California fire: Resident says neighborhood looks like 'war zone'

On Media Outlook News:  Jeannette Frescas was not concerned about the Thomas Fire until the massive blaze inched toward her neighborhood in Southern California. "At midnight, I woke up with flashlight in my face," Frescas told CNN affiliate KEYT. "I looked out my window and there were flames that were about a 100 feet all around us." Like many residents, Frescas was caught off guard by the fire that has roared through Southern California for 13 days.
