14-Year-Old Dies After Being Pulled From Kennedy High School Pool


CHICAGO — A 14-year-old boy has died after he was pulled from a Chicago Public School pool in Garfield Ridge.
Around 3:03 p.m., the boy was found unresponsive at the school in the 6300 block of West 56th Street, police said.
Wednesday afternoon, fire crews found the boy in the pool area after he was pulled from the pool at Kennedy High School, CBS Chicago reported.
The boy was taken to MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn in critical condition and was later pronounced dead, police said.
Detectives are conducting a death investigation, police said.
The main office at Kennedy High School confirmed there was an incident at the school and someone was taken to the hospital, but would not comment further.
