Englewood Shooting Kills Man, 28, Police Say


CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man was shot to death in Englewood Thursday afternoon, police said.
The man was walking at 2:38 p.m. in the 1100 block of West 57th Street when someone in a passing car began firing, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
He was struck in his head and was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital, where he was pronounced, she said.
The man is a documented gang member, police said.
No arrests have been made.
