Shooting Wounds 3 People, Police Say



CHICAGO — A shooting in Grand Crossing left three people wounded on Saturday afternoon, police said.
At 12:15 p.m., the three were involved in an argument in the 7100 block of South Rhodes Avenue when someone fired shots, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.
A 19-year-old man was hit in his head and was taken by friends to Jackson Park Hospital, Sweeney said. He was going to be transferred to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition.
A 17-year-old was hit in his thigh and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, Sweeney said.
A 34-year-old man was hit in his neck and took himself to Provident Hospital, where he was in good condition, Sweeney said.
The shooter ran away and no one was in custody, Sweeney said.
The shooting appeared to be gang-related, police said.
