Rashon Purnell, 24, Shot Dead In Back Of The Yards, Police Say


BACK OF THE YARDS — Rashon Purnell, 24, was shot to death while sitting inside his car in Back of the Yards early Wednesday morning, police said.
At 4:13 a.m., Purnell was sitting in the 5400 block of South Bishop Street when he was shot in his neck, chest and arm, according to a police incident report.
Purnell, of the 5400 block of South Bishop Street, was pronounced dead at 4:26 a.m. at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one is in custody, police said.

California fire: Resident says neighborhood looks like 'war zone'
