Man Killed In Shooting Outside Ezra Center in Uptown Friday Evening


UPTOWN — A 55-year-old man was fatally shot outside a social service building in Uptown Friday evening.
The man was struck in his right arm while walking in the 900 block of West Wilson Avenue at about 6:15 p.m. Friday, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.
He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, but was later pronounced dead, she said.
Photos of the aftermath posted to social media show the shooting occurred outside the Ezra Multi-Service Center, located at 909 W. Wilson Ave.
The center strives to prevent homelessness, alleviate hunger, reduce isolation and mitigate other self-sufficiency barriers. It also offers social activities and holiday celebrations to ensure Jews living in poverty can stay connected to their heritage, according to the group's website.

AG Sessions did not disclose Russia meetings in security clearance form, DOJ says

On Media Outlook News:  Washington -  Attorney General Jeff Sessions did not disclose meetings he had last year with Russian officials when he applied for his security clearance, the Justice Department told CNN Wednesday. Sessions, who met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak at least two times last year, didn't note those interactions on the form, which requires him to list "any contact" he or his family had with a "foreign government" or its "representatives" over the past seven years, officials said. The new information from the Justice Department is the latest example of Sessions failing to disclose contacts he had with Russian officials. Report of shots fired, northbound I-43 shut down for hours, now reopened

On Media Outlook News:  MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office shut down for hours on Monday, September 25th the northbound lanes of I-43 near the Marquette Interchange due to an incident at Walnut St. Just after 5:30 p.m., those lanes were reopened -- but traffic delays persisted.
