Drake Has Been on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for Eight Straight Years

Image
On Media Outlook News:  So it turns out  Drake ‘s winning a record 13 trophies at the   2017 Billboard Music Awards  was in no way coincidence. Yesterday (May 23), it was revealed that Drizzy has had a song on the   Billboard Hot 100 chart   for the last eight consecutive years, making him the first ever artist to do so. Drizzy’s “Best I Ever Had” earned him his first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on May 23, 2009, and as of yesterday (May 23), he’s maintained that streak, and quite easily at that. Looked at in another way, Drizzy’s been on the chart for almost exactly 3,000 days now. According to Billboard, he’s now been on the chart for 420 weeks. You read that right. During a career that sort of feels like it just started yesterday, 20 of Drake’s songs have landed in the top 10 portion of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, which makes him one of only 18 artists accomplishing that distinction over the last 58 years. Drizzy’s got 154 Hot 100-charting singles in total.

On Media Outlook News:  It’s been almost exactly a year since last spring’s   tragic Irving Plaza shooting , and the incident is still clearly very much on  Troy Ave’s mind  as he’s just come through with a new visual for “ I Ain’t Mad At Cha ,” a   NuPac   cut that finds the Brooklyn MC recalling the incident while throwing jabs at Casanova and a few others over a 2Pac sample. “On the eve of the one-year anniversary of one of the worst days of my life that started off a series of events and revealed the true colors of people to me I give y’all this video for ‘I Ain’t Mad at Cha,'” Troy Ave said in a statement about the video’s release. In the chaos of the Irving Plaza shooting, Troy Ave was shot and his friend and bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter, was killed. Troy has since blamed a few of his former comrades for their alleged behavior during and after the shooting. The new visual, which was directed by Troy himself and WhiteApeFilms, finds Troy—rocking an ankle

AG Sessions did not disclose Russia meetings in security clearance form, DOJ says

Image
On Media Outlook News:  Washington -  Attorney General Jeff Sessions did not disclose meetings he had last year with Russian officials when he applied for his security clearance, the Justice Department told CNN Wednesday. Sessions, who met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak at least two times last year, didn't note those interactions on the form, which requires him to list "any contact" he or his family had with a "foreign government" or its "representatives" over the past seven years, officials said. The new information from the Justice Department is the latest example of Sessions failing to disclose contacts he had with Russian officials. He has come under withering criticism from Democrats following revelations that he did not disclose the same contacts with Kislyak during his Senate confirmation hearings earlier this year. Sessions initially listed a year's worth of meetings with foreign officials on the security clearance fo
